Additionally, the County Treasurer is accountable for managing the Investment Portfolio of most county funds. Other tasks performed by this office include reconciling bank statements with funds, reporting monthly cash transactions by fund, keeping records of and reporting abandoned funds to the state, and updating all banking transactions.

As the County Collector, the role involves various powers and duties. These include preparing tax bills that display each installment of property taxes assessed, mailing these bills 30 days prior to the first installment due date, collecting property taxes, recording and updating payments on the tax record, distributing tax revenue to all taxing districts within the County based on their tax extensions, and collecting delinquent taxes. The office is also responsible for maintaining records of all Mobile Homes in the County and preparing and sending tax bills for these Mobile Homes. The collection and distribution of taxes for Mobile Homes follow a similar process to property taxes.
